We stayed for 5 nights, yes it’s basic but a fantastic little hotel with amazing staff. It’s a budget hotel so don’t expect 5*, but it’s clean and in a good location for piers and beaches etc. It’s about 30min walk to main area but lots of bars and restaurants local to hotel. And this hotel is right on the beach - it’s has amazing sunsets.

The stay was a stones throw from the beach with a fantastic view from sun loungers upstairs and the bar below which is right on the sand. You can walk everywhere to restaurants, bars, and dive shops in minutes. The staff were so friendly and attentive from when we arrived to seeing them when walking around the hostel. We stayed in the non-air con room which was way too hot for us even with the fans, but one of the staff was very helpful in helping us set up the plug in fan to make it a bit more comfortable. Nonetheless the room was such great value at the price we paid. One night we could hear very loud music from one of the hostels or bars further down, but that comes with the nature of being so close to everything! Thank you for having us Sunrise Koh Tao, would recommend staying here

Close to the pier, jump of the boat and walk 3 minutes to the hotel, very comfortable rooms, with lovely employees. Everyone is very happy to help you and answer every question you have, without pushing you in activities

Staff were very friendly and helpful, location and setting is excellent. However our room was very damp the whole time we were there, the water from the shower didn’t drain properly which made the room and our belongings smell

We only stayed one night but we would’ve stayed longer if we hadn’t somewhere else booked. Very friendly staff who speak perfect English. They helped us rent a bike, which was excellent quality and 250B for the day. The staff member who rented us the bike told us how to use it and where the nearest gas station was etc. very helpful! They don’t do dinners but they make excellent toasties and delicious orange juice. Room was perfect and there’s a balcony with an incredible view of sunset.

Nice staff. Clean. A bit noisy in the evening and small room but good value for money. 2 min walking distance from the ferry.
