The family who runs the place are extremely friendly and kind, they make you feel very friendly. The room is very big and has everything you need including an outside kitchen, balcony, hammock and sofa inside. They offer cheap transport in to town various times a day which is great to have as a private taxi can be expensive

We loved staying here, everyone is so friendly, kind, helpful and makes you feel very welcomed. The restaurant is right on the beach and the best place to hang out on Tanote bay. After much research we can confirm they also serve the best food and Mojito's in the bay! If you want a chilled vibe and an authentic Tanote and Thai experience this is the place for you. Great value for money. The price reflects that this isn't a 5 star hotel - it is a more simple Thai place. The negative comments from other reviews are potentially from customers who expected a 5 star experience. The staff also helped us arrange day trips and taxi trips. Nothing was too much.. Once you have spent a day at Poisedon you won't want to leave!

Our bungalow was up about 30 steps with a lovely balcony, like a tree house really. They do have lower ones if that what you want. Good menu with traditional Thai food at very reasonable prices. The owner took us back to the ferry at the end of our stay.

Location, right on the beach. Kayaking and fishing with Joe, snorkeling and seeing good amount of tropical fish, reading, watching, swimming and not jumping off ‘jump rock’. My room was average but comfortable enough for sleeping - the outdoor porch area needs to be refurbished to give it more appeal. The restaurant is excellent. I only ate at Poseidon, mostly Thai meals but they flip a good burger as well. The staff are friendly.

I don't think you can get a better located accommodation in Koh Tao for this price. Most people stay near the busy bar area and road but honestly, I wish we had of been on this side the whole time. A few steps down, you can snorkel or have a beachside bite to eat. Felt like the book/movie 'The Island,' but in a good way. What we were really after on the islands.

Great location right at one of the best beaches. Nice and helpfull staff. The bungalows are basic, but very well priced and just fine. Snorkeling is great out here and there are several good restaurants nearby.

Very nice place, close to the beach and very kind staff. It was our favourite place in Thailand mostly because of the Tanotay Beach.
