Resort Overview

Family Tanote Bay Resort is located in Ban Ko Tao, a 1-minute walk from Ao Tanote Beach. It features a restaurant, diving facilities and rooms that overlook the sea. Free parking is provided.
Fitted with either a fan or air conditioning, rooms come with wooden furnishings and have windows that provide plenty of natural light. Each has a private balcony, seating area and bathroom with shower facilities.

The beach was definitely the highlight definitely the best beach on Koh Tao. The beach is full of fish as soon as you step in the water there everywhere fish heaven.

Location is amazing up the hillside on Tanote, our bungalow had an amazing view and was very cute and rustic. Bed was firm, but the pillows were nice. Balcony hammock and places to hang clothes was good. Massaman curry in the evening was absolutely delicious, and they were able to do tofu for vegetarian option in everything. The staff working in restaurant are very nice too. The restaurant is comfortable too, with fans. Overall, I think the fan room with cold water was good for a 1-2 night stay to really enjoy the sunrise and get the beach to yourself in the morning before the masses turn up. Water clarity for snorkeling in the morning was amazing too. But for a long term stay I'd pick somewhere with AC and hot shower to be more comfortable. And if you're looking for budget food stay more in the town.
