To sum up, we liked everything. We were given the best bungalow facing the sea and palm trees (we booked the one with AC), it was clean, spacious and cozy. Panoramic windows, all facilities (water heater, AC), the staff was really friendly and nice. We liked the food at the restaurant (we ordered thai food and it was amazing), shakes are really made of fruit. Really recommend the hotel.

This place is underrated (!) in several review in my opinion. Mainly because people dont understand that the saltiness and climate sometimes have a negative impact on the paint and other materials. Or because there are not much facilities at Diamond or near. We come every 2 years to Koh Tao and always stay at Tanote Beach. It's quiet, relaxed and yes there is not a very busy night life (luckily). The bungalows (we had A/C) are large and comfortable. The staff was very nice and the food is very good. We had breakfast every morning (perfect fresh fruit) and several times lunch and dinner. We will be back.

Room was clean. Great location, just on Tanote beach, with fantastic snorkeling, rays, barracuda, my friend even saw a turtle. Food was good, and reasonably priced for area. Staff very friendly.
