We were informed in advance that some activities, like yoga, wouldn’t be available, so they gave us the choice to proceed, which we appreciated. The room had a breathtaking view, and the resort itself is beautiful. The breakfast was possibly the best we had during our month-long trip in Thailand. They also made things convenient by connecting us with a driver for airport pick-up and scooter rental. While the staff didn’t speak much English, they were sweet, shy, and polite, which more than made up for the language barrier.

The breakfast and the food in the restaurant are impressive. The best snorkeling views of the island are from the resort's pier.

Our 5 day stay at Baan Talay was perfect and we hope to return for a longer time. The resort is very well organised, with helpful, friendly staff, exceptional views, a peaceful atmosphere and healthy, very tasty food. There are a lot of food and drink options for vegetarians, vegans (and thus halal food). To get to the sea you need a reasonable level of fitness and health - I am severely disabled and made it down and up once a day just in my own pace (hard but rewarding). The reef at the resort is beautiful - many types of huge coral. We really appreciated that Baan Talay is nestled into nature, from the sea you hardly see any of the buildings. Likewise, the availability of drinking water and water bottle has perfected our time there.
