If you like the wooden style, this is a perfect hotel, even though it would need to undergo a massive renovation pretty soon. It offers great service thanks to a very motivated crew. I especially liked the beautiful tropical garden, the private seafront location and the fantastic swimmingpools. I recommend to book their speed boat and land transfer from/to Trat airport.

We have mixed feelings about our stay as repeat guests of the Santhiya brand. The best feature are the staff; polite and welcoming whatever their role. The WAP messages set up with the front desk were invaluable and they resolved all our issues. Housekeeping left clean rooms. The gardeners keep the landscaping beautiful and were always busy replanting or watering. The resort says it fogs for mosquitoes but we had to ask for room spray; on our first night I caught 15. The WiFi was weak in room 1220. We rarely sustained an audio call to the UK or listened to radio etc without it dropping out. Very frustrating. It was not strong enough to process our in room dining order. Again the front desk had to resolve this for us. I was disappointed that the Santhiya beach side massage beds were disused; local options are available on either side of the hotel. The indoor spa provided a typical drink on arrival and departure and both massages were excellent. Our only criticism of staff was when they ran out of sarongs poolside and offered no alternatives and having cleaned the room immaculately they left all the room service dirty dishes (🤷🏼♀️) The welcome drink and traditional dessert on arrival was appreciated. Thank you. We enjoyed the signposting and information about the trees and shrines. We were disappointed to have missed the seafood buffet on Saturday night; in the past special events would have been scheduled for 3 nights over a weekend stay. Breakfast was adequate for this price point. Given the popularity of fruit it would be helpful to have a larger serving area rather than one small fridge leading to queues. We were surprised that waffles and pancakes weren’t cooked fresh. The traditional music was a nice touch; the views over the mountainside were pretty. The stay just didn’t feel luxurious as it has in the past. The floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked; the wall mirror had been repaired poorly with silicone sealant.

The property itself is quite amazing, a sight to behold in itself. The most interesting aspect is probably the access to the sea, which was fantastic and offers perfect sunset view in the most comfortable and integrated way possible. The rooms themselves were also great, especially the hotel room withs the outdoor tub and pool. Views were great all around.

Very beautiful hotel in traditional Thai Architecture. Very convenient wooden villas and rooms with pool inside. Nice breakfasts with great view and live traditional music. Great beach and very good restaurant. We enjoyed everything during our staying! Thanks a lot!
