We arrived around 1900 to a lovely welcome by staff. A delicious dinner was served from a varied menu. We had 3 rooms between us, all were delightfully appointed, bright and airy. We arose early the following morning and were severed an early pot of tea while we enjoyed looking out over the snow covered field. Breakfast was first class, as was the member of staff waiting on our table - a very decent and accommodating chap, nothing was too much, so a special 'thank you' to him.

Room - The Boxer was very comfortable and as described. The food in the restaurant was good quality and breakfast was excellent too. Worth the money for Boxing Day stay. ⁸

Lovely old Cheshire pub, lots of character with all modern conveniences. Polite and friendly staff. Good food, varied menu for both evening meal and breakfast.
