Lovely place and very central to stay for 1 night. Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but overall great for location and staff was great and friendly.

Location was perfect, no car park as olden days market place short walk to car park 1.90 for 24 hours. Whilst the furniture in bar area was old it was very clean, beer was fine, everything was a few minutes walk from us.

Very welcoming on arrival. The hotel is an old building in the centre of town. So very steep 2 flights of stairs up to the rooms. People with mobility problems would find this very difficult! The rooms were dated but very clean. Bedding crisp and clean. Towels very fluffy and fresh. Plenty of free, coffee/tea/hot chocolate/biscuits/ snacks

All the staff were very friendly, the room was clean,and quite bigger than I expected , (room 1) with a generous amount of tea and coffee provided, and you could not hear any noise from the pub below. We also had food in the pub whilst we were there, the steaks were cooked to perfection, (medium rare). We would definitely stay here again.

The room was very spacious, lots of extras in the bathroom and on the tea tray. Lovely friendly staff.
