What a find. This charming, elegant place is just brimming with Austro-Hungarian history. A former monastery built in 1760 (its still retains facets of its original architecture) it was once hosted the Emperor Franz Josef himself for a night during his visit to the city in 1806. His portraits are everywhere among a treasure trove of regal and local artefacts which add to the hotel's stylish history. The owner/manager is a very interesting lady, whose father was a well-known local politician and worth a chat with. My only regret is I couldn't stay another night because I had a plane to catch.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean and spacious, the staff was nice and friendly. The location is perfect- 10 min of a relaxed walk to the city center and the bus station is right in front of the hotel door. The area is quiet and nice. It’s definitely a value for money!

Nice hotel with an extraordinary historic ambiance. Our room was extremly specious and well equipped. Staff was very helpful and super kind. Breakfast was also very good. Location - just perfect.

Very Friendly and helpfull staff, nice and big room, good location for sigtseing old city of Klagenfurt. Easy and cheap parking by the street near entrace to the hotel.

Very traditional decor, quirky and individual. My room was very clean and spacious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would stay again if in the area.
