It is privatly and family run. Simple, very clean and authentic. We stayed for 3 nights, most beautiful sunsets. Breakfast was very good, owners are nice people. My husband had 2 massages with Friday and she is good. Of course this is not fancy resort but we liked it a lot. Close to nature so you see more insects, but Hadji my hero killed for me anything dangerous. We had Sea view bungalow and that has AC the Garden view have not. We also had lunch and dinner there, never had any bad food. I hope that we have the opportunity to come back sometime. They also offer to book for you excursions at a good price.

Lovely relaxing place in its own space. Staff are 10/10 couldn’t be any more helpful, chefs are very good, food was lovely. Helped sort anything we needed. Great stay!

This is a little secluded paradise, in front of the ocean where you can relax at the rythm of the tides. The whole staff is amazing and went above and beyond to cater our needs, it was my birthday and they decorated the room and set up a nice dinner table at night, very appreciated! The breakfast is really great and food is yummy. WiFi is provided and AC is working properly. Thank you!

I enjoyed staying at this lodge. In the heart of Kizimkazi - I could not have booked any place but Lala Land Lodge. With an Indian ocean view while sipping cocktails at their restaurant. This is the best place to book in Kizimkazi. Ben & Frida knows exactly how to take care of their guests. Me and my wife felt home at this lodge - Everything we needed was delivered to us. We were welcomed to check in at 9am and got welcome drinks upon arrival. Hadji was very kind and a welcoming brother with lots of knowledge about Zanzibar. In my opinion he deserves a promotion for the excellent service he gave us. The lodge exceeded our expectation. Ben & Frida please keep up the good work and excellent service you give to your guests. To my fellow brother Nuru who was our Boat Captain - You were very kind and patient with us. Everything i needed you and Hadji made sure i get. I would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to Zanzibar. I loved everything about this place.

Everything! this is such a special place, if you get an opportunity to stay here please do. We stayed in the garden view room and it was just beautiful, I even saw the Zanzibar elephant(a type of shrew) 😊 The owners and staff are all so wonderful, welcoming and friendly.

Lala Land is without doubt one of the best places we have ever stayed and there are a whole raft of reasons for this but the number one reason is the team. Hawa and Haji are two of life’s good souls, always with a smile and great energy, they are a huge credit to Lala Land. Ben and Frida are also fabulous and have managed to create a little slice of paradise in this quiet corner of Zanzibar. Lala Land is the epitome of ‘chilled’. We spent many hours on the terrace of our sea-view bungalow (there are two) watching the world go by, an ever changing land and sea scape. At low tide a sand bank appears which you are able to walk out to (there are lots of sea urchins so sea shoes are a must) The gardens are very well tended and the pool is a welcome respite from the heat. The lodge is small and because of that it never feels crowded. The restaurant food is also amazing, lots of fresh seafood, we ate at the restaurant 5 of the 6 nights we stayed as the food (and cocktails and wine!) were that good. If you are searching for somewhere to disconnect, this place is it 😊 If and when we return to Zanzibar there will be no other choice than Lala Land Asante sana guys 🇹🇿☀️🌍🙏 Ally and Fi x

Lala Land was the best place we have stayed in Zanzibar! The staff is amazing, the most welcoming, nice people who carried us on the palm of their hand, they did everything for us to enjoy our stay there. They even took care of my husband who had fewer on the last 2 days of our stay there. Frida and Ben, the owners are making this place the most beautiful, cosy and we felt like in a paradise. This place is really like heaven on earth. You can really relax and enjoy the "pole-pole" feeling there. Don't forget to try the massage that Frida gives!!! :) The dishes and breakfasts we ate were diverse and delicious. The sunset from this place is amazing, the most beautiful sunset from the ireland. We truly recommend for everybody to stay there! We already miss this place a lot! We would love to go back again!
