We liked; * the friendly staff * the historic building * the bustling atmosphere of the pub (close to Christmas) * the breakfast (and the friendly lady looking after us at breakfast). * the room overlooking the street.

Rooms were spotless well maintained and clean and tidy. We had our dinner in the restaurant and meals were beautiful great.portion sizes and tasted amazing..

Breakfast fantastic. Food and hospitality fantastic and friendly too. Everything you could wish for breakfast. Bed comfortable. Very clean. Our dogs welcome. Lovely village. We would definitely stay again.

2 double beds in twin room is great. Dog friendly room had plenty space for us to put crate for our dog to sleep in Shower was fantastic

We enjoyed our stay, the room was basic but clean and cosy. We had two double beds; for some reason one mattress was a firm memory foam type, and the other was an old sprung type. We were fine on them, but if you are particular about your sleeping surface then it might not be the best for you. Breakfast was lovely, served in a small lounge which had a nice private feel, and the lady who served us was very friendly and accommodating. The location was nice and central, but quite quiet for all that. The only small thing of note was that the streets are very narrow and tight (our window in room 2 overlooked one of them), but there was a lot of fast traffic whizzing about. If you have young children or pets it's be a good idea not to let them run out the hotel on their own in case they come a cropper. We also had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant, which was high quality and the serving staff were very friendly and efficient. It was maybe a tad pricey, though.

Great location in the centre of the lovely wee red toon of Kirriemuir. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. Our evening meal was excellent and the service very good. The co-owner was great in that she fixed our telly! Didn't have a cooked breakfast but there was plenty choice and again lovely member of staff on hand to give us guidance about what was available. Would definitely come back.
