I admit I have never been to a safari lodge, however this is how I imagined one to be… The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The location for Yala was perfect. The huts were basic but clean and welcoming.

I recommend Yakaduru highly. It’s just the right balance of non-ostentatious luxury, and being in the wild. You feel as if you’re out in nature and Yala park is a 5 minute drive. And the staff are all polite, friendly and fastidious. Top marks.

This place really exceeded expectations - from the minute we booked someone was in contact and even at short notice they arranged a number of activities for us. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by our hosts and shown our amazing room. The room was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before and the whole experience was brilliant - cannot recommend highly enough if you’re staying in Yala and wanting to feel close to nature. The safari organised by the hotel was also excellent - their guides are very knowledgeable and put in the extra effort to ensure you have a good time. 10/10 perfect luxury experience.

My partner and I stayed three nights at the Yakaduru safari camp. The accommodation itself is beautiful. It is tidy, clean and blends into the stunning nature which surrounds the camp. We booked a whole day safari which was an offer from the camp. It was great, we saw various animals including three leopards, so I assume we were really lucky. Though it would have been really nice to not only have the driver but also an expert from the camp joining the safari. We would have appreciated if someone could have told us more about the Nationalpark and the wildlife there. The food was typical Sri Lankan and just delicious and always fresh! Our highlight was defiantly the staff at the camp. These guys were great! All of them! Their service and kindness was extraordinary. They offered so many options to explore the area around the camp including bush walks, village walks, bonfires etc. They even played a traditional bamboo flute at dinner for entertainment, which was great. We especially enjoyed meeting Nishantha, he is the camp host and a studied naturalist and was able to discuss all open questions we had regarding the wildlife. He had so much knowledge about the ecosystem and wildlife and we really appreciated that he shared this with us! I think it would also be great to have him at the safari tour. All in all this place is just great and worth a visit if you are traveling around in Sri Lanka. It has been a unique and unforgettable experience. Thank you to the whole Yakaduru team!

Our stay was excellent. The staff were eager and happy to accomodate all our requests. Kirula in particular really helped us with his service. The location was perfect - right at the doorstep of the national park. Would love to go back here.

The amazing staff were always on hand . The food was delicious.: We rooms were a good size and very comfortable. This property is completely at one with nature , this is part of the experience. We booked a 1/2 day safari through the hotel and this was an amazing experience, the guides were wonderful .

From the moment we arrived all the staff welcomed us and we felt immediately like at home. They also prepared a surprise for my wife for her birthday. Unforgettable experience and one to remember. Will be back for sure.
