Very nice and new facilities just next to the beach. The host was very friendly and responsive. We also did the safari with him, he explained the animals and answered to our questions. He also arranged packed breakfast and lunch for us. He showed us around in the area and drove us to non-touristy beaches where locals would swim. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Shehan is the most hospitable and kind host that we met in Sri Lanka. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and show the area. Even better, he turned out to be the best guide you could wish for to see Yala national park ona private tour. He genuinely cared about our experience. Overall it exceeded our expectations that were already high because of the excellent reviews.

I had an incredible experience at Kingfisher Beach Resort, and I cannot recommend it enough! The owner, Shehan, is an exceptional host—kind, helpful, and incredibly talented. Not only is he a great chef who prepared the most delicious lobster and fresh fish, but he’s also a skilled therapist. After an amazing safari, where I was lucky enough to see a leopard and a bear, Shehan’s relaxing massage was exactly what I needed to unwind. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with clean and well-equipped rooms that provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. There’s a stunning natural saltwater pool within walking distance, and the beach feels like your own private paradise. Shehan’s knowledge of the wildlife is impressive, making the safari even more special. His passion for the animals and the surrounding nature is truly inspiring. I only stayed for one night, but I wish I had booked at least three! It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy fresh seafood paired with excellent white wine and cold beer, and immerse yourself in nature. Thank you, Shehan, for your hospitality and hard work. Location to the beach was very good. Shehan, the owner, was very attentive and couldn’t have done more to make our stay enjoyable. He is also an excellent chef and we had an outstanding meal of red snapper and lobster. Room was very clean and well looked after. Good attention to detail regarding room amenities. Safari was also booked for us to do in the morning.

Nice location - just few steps from the beach. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. AC was working great, hot water system also. Room has protection against insects, so nothing gets inside the room. Owner is super helpful, showed us the hotel, beach and surrounding area. He can also arrange the safari for you. There is a restaruant in the hotel serving tasty seafood (we had fresh lobsters). Definitely a great spot! Fully recommended for everyone!

It’s a lovely place, the villa is spacious, very clean and the beds are super comfy and the decor beautiful. The patio is also very nice to sit outside. Inside you will find everything you need and even more - it was just perfect!

Shehan was such a welcoming host and couldn't do enough for us. He was very attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed no matter what time of day it was. His cooking is exceptional. Definitely the best food we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. The setting is absolutely beautiful. So tranquil and close to the beach. You can hear the sounds of the waves and see some lovely local wild life. This is a must stay if visiting Sri Lanka!

shehan taught us a lot about sri lanka. we were given the best food on our trip, and we could try all the local fruit. he came with us on safari and took is to the katharagama culture festival, which was very special. then, he even surprised my girlfriend with a cake for her birthday. he is the kindest human on earth and takes good care of his guests and the property. we were so happy!
