This hotel has a beautiful location right by canals with a lovely garden with water on either side. The rooms are nice. The staff are friendly and seem to be trying to be helpful. The nearby church has strong associations with Jane Austen which was not advertised, strangely. We only found out by going there!

Great hotel in a lovely location. Enjoyed a morning coffee in the beer garden watching the barges on the canal right next to us. Unfortunately found the staff to be indifferent.

Staff when we arrived were jolly & informative, food was spot on. The location was excellent for exploring. There were a few problems ie no room service to clean the room even though we had left the please service our room on the door, while we were out exploring, ordering food in the evening took ages. Also ran out of baileys....... the final problem is we had to keep asking for milk at the bar as none was ever in the room. Would we stay here again....... not sure

Lovely location and place to stay. Room was very spacious and huge bed. Patio on the river was delightful to have a coffee on. Good walks from the property. Only slight downside is the walls being thin!

The room was a good size, very clean and the bed was very comfortable with very good quality cotton linen. Room and bathroom were well equipped. The towels very good. All staff seemed friendly.

Breakfast was excellent. The room was well appointed. We liked the choice of tea and coffee bags plus the still and sparkling water. Staff were all friendly.
