Guest houses Overview

Situated at the foothills of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, Giltraps Townhouse & Glamping offers accommodation in the centre of Kinnitty and features free high speed WiFi both in the townhouse and glamping site. Located opposite the Giltraps Pub, the accommodation is just 2 km from Kinnitty Castle.
All rooms at the townhouse are en-suite and have power showers. There is a complimentary tea and coffee making area available on the ground floor. Hairdryers and ironing facilities are provided in each room. There are no TVs in the guestrooms.
The glamping site offers a unique experience and is designed to help guests get closer to nature with the resident chicken, ducks and pigs. Electricity is available in all the log cabins and Irish style yurt. There is a barbecue facility available in the courtyard. The bathroom facilities are located at the Townhouse, which is opposite the glamping site.
Breakfast hampers are available upon request at check-in for an additional charge and will be delivered to your door each morning.
Local activities include horse riding, cycling and hiking. Giltraps Townhouse & Glamping is 14.1 km from Birr Castle Gardens & Domain and is 16.7 km from Lough Boora Discovery Park.

There are 6 luxurious and secluded log cabins and a Mongolian yurt. The log cabins are insulated and have electricity. Each cabin has its own decking with outdoor seating. It includes complimentary toiletries and free use of towels. The toilets and showers are on-site and a breakfast hamper is served each morning using local produce. Kinnitty is just 30 minutes' off the M7 motorway and there is an array of activities that can be enjoyed in the surrounding area, including biking, hiking, horse riding, and golf.

“Cosy, comfortable and cute”

We travelled in Winter which is off season and the accommodation was still immaculate, stunning and cosy setting especially in the evening. Would be brilliant in summer to be able to sit out and possibly have a bbq. The communal areas are clean and modern with plenty of space. The cabins are warm, cosy and comfortable. Location was ideal for access to local walks.

I love the quiet space and the cosy room. The facilities were very well done. The morning breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch. We had pizza in the pub, which is literally across the road. The atmosphere was great, and they did a lovely pint of Guinness.
