It was quirky, has a great history and the bed was really comfortable. The parking was also really good. The owners thoughtfully provided plenty of information about the area, places of interest and places to eat. I particularly loved the art work around the site. We stayed on a cold night but the room was lovely and warm and the shower provided lots of hot water.

Sam and his wife are the nicest persons. They were very kind to make me feel at home not only in the motel, but also around town. Room was cozy and clean. The bed was comfortable and warm, and the shower was great for a very cold November night. The location is perfect within a couple minutes drive to groceries, gas stations, and walk-in distance to restaurants.

Warm welcome from the owner. He took his time to explain the history of the motel. And what to look for in the city. Appreciated this very much! We had the James Dean room. Need some touch up but it was ok, we went for the location, history and expercience anyway. Loved it !

I loved this retro quirky motel! There’s loads of cool murals painted all around including the worlds longest route 66 map & I took loads of photos The room looked recently refurbished with new furniture, the bed was really comfortable & there was a very large flat screen tv
