I really liked the view from the room, straight to the Maidan. But make sure to book a room with a view, otherwise you might get one without it. The interior was nice and also the room was clean and spacious.

The staff were great. Difficult to operate during war time. Very deep, safe bomb shelter. They try very hard under difficult circumstances currently. I stay there 2 or 3 times a year. I have done this for the past 10 years.

The location and just the sheer enormity of the hotel exterior in such a powerful placement, is a must to appreciate. A hotel that truly stands out, and if you have a room with a view, the views are absolutely fabulous. Yes, it's an older hotel, but to me, that was something I wanted. Sometimes I want a modern experience, but other times, such as when visiting Kyiv; Ukraine Hotel met my expectations and wants for my stay. I came for the view, the location and the classic and powerful exterior. I didn't try the breakfast and I didn't need customer service from the staff, so I cannot comment on this. They have a deep shelter, but you will usually be alone if you choose to go down, as most seem to choose to ignore the sirens (which is understandable).

It's a hotel full of history, centrally located, with private parking. Clean room, lobby and restaurant. Very good breakfast. Useful shelter 4th level underground
