Really nice little guesthouse outside centre, it feels a bit like living in a little countryside town. But with bike or Grab you are in 6 minutes in the centre. Nice big lake, little food market and foodstalls around, where the locals eat, too. Laundry, supermarket and pharmacy 5 min. away. They serve only Western Food in the Guest House, cause they want to support the local restaurants around.. Nice pool, billard, good english breakfast. Mixed guests, LGBT friendly, helpful. Water, Coffee, Tee provided.

Large room with comfortable bed and good details. * Good pillows. *Bathroom with proper pressure on the shower. * Great showerhead. * Strong Wifi. Charming hotel with nice outside seating. Well stocked bar. Responsive owner/family. Market and lots of local shops in the area.

The whole place was kept really clean. The pool was nice. The food was excellent (especially the pies!). Ron (the host) and his wife treated us really well and nothing was too much trouble for them. Really good value for money.

The guesthouse is very clean and the rooms have everything that you need. A good sized fridge and comfortable bed. The staff were generally very friendly . Hard to fault this guest house for a comfortable stay in Khon Kaen. Very quiet location.

Ron is a great host, it's a very convivial setting with a few British expats coming through, lending to great conversations. The English style food was a treat for this Antipodean 'refugee' and the swimming pool was a great place to cool off and enjoy some swimming or aqua aerobics. Staff were friendly and efficient. Nice and peaceful for sleeping and relaxing. One of the guests even gave me a ride to the airport, a really lovely spirit to the place 😇

Go for B room series, C room series are just a little small and have got lots of insects in the room. Not the same as the more spacious B room series

Friendly family atmosphere, clean and comfortable rooms, staff helpful, beautiful pool. All round a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommend. Excellent Western food.

My third visit to Khon Kaen to see my wife's family and the second time with our children (now 11&14) We booked five nights at Mai Thai and it was a great experience for all of us. The pool was a real bonus for me and the kids on the days my wife went to see her family by herself. Ron, his wife and staff are always around to help/assist and take food/drink orders. Clean and comfortable rooms in a quiet location with lovely surrounding garden areas. Will definitely consider again if visiting the area.
