For its wonderful and delicious breakfast, the hotel deserves a 10. The best breakfast I have had in Uzbekistan. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Nice service.

The hotel is so close to the main train station of Khiva, that you can see it from the train upon arrival. So, getting there is a non issue. The old city of Khiva — where the main attractions are — is about a 20 min walk. The walk goes through a wide boulevard and it's quite an enjoyable one. The breakfast was quite elaborate and excellent. The hotel staff are some of the nicest and kindest that we met during our visit and this alone is reason enough for me to go back to Umar Hotel.

The property has a great location, just across the train station and in a very quiet area, a 10 min direct walk from Old town sites. Excellent breakfast, continental type but with a great variety of local specialties, fruits, coffee and breakfast drinks. I had a single room, spacious enough for one person, clean and with all facilities needed (hair dryer, toiletries, towels). Very good internet as well. The staff was very polite and helpful, easy communication in English and Russian. They arranged for me a transfer from Urgench airport to the hotel upon arrival (paid), which saved me a lot of time and hassle. Registration slip for the stay was provided as requested, all charges were as initially booked, no hidden costs. A very recommended property, excellent for exploring Khiva! Thank you for a great service!

UMAR is a relatively new hotel. Place is v nice and clean. Best of all the staff were all very helpfull n ready to help. We were given a big room with 5 beds haha. Beds were comfortable. Heating was working very well. Their breakfast was the best we had for our entire Uzbekhistan trip. There were many local fresh fruits, pasteries, salads, cheese, coffee n tea and many more. Just too much food. The coffee n tea n bottled water were there 24x7. Location wise its right opposite the train station. Under 5mins walk.

Delicious breakfast with a large selection of fruits and sweets. Superb staff who speak good English. Practically next to the train station and within walking distance along the promenade from the old town. In the area several restaurants, a large supermarket and a funfair. Rooms neat and clean, deep comfortable bathtub in the bathroom. Highly recommended, one of the nicest accommodations in Uzbekistan during my trip.
