The location was superb, it's in the quiet side of the walled city (you can only hear the local kids playing) Hotel pickup was arranged from Urgench airport for $10. The staff are lovely people who put on a varied Uzbek buffet breakfast each morning from 07:00am. Overall - would highly recommend Shahriston Hotel!

This is a guesthouse-like hotel in an excellent location - you are in the old town, just a few steps away from all the major sights! The hosting family will do their very best to make you feel comfortable! Also, not yet updated on booking.com, but the property now accepts credit cards.

The location of the hotel is really good. Within the old town centre you can reach all the important sights in Khiva in just a few minutes. The railway station can also be reached on foot within 30 minutes. The accommodation also offers a pick-up service, which worked very well. The room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. There was a small desk, sockets near the bed and a bedside lamp. Early check-in was possible. The breakfast was totally sufficient and very tasty. The hotel is family-run and you can tell. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was located in the main sight seeing area but not amongst the hustle and bustle. The rooms were a good size and clean and comfortable. The family were brilliant.. The were friendly hospitable and provided a lovely breakfast and a meal. Their young son Karim and his siblings zara, Rabiya, razia and aideen were so respectful and well behaved l I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would stay again when I next visit uzbekistan.

Amazing place, right in the center. Family is sooo friendly and the son speaks good English too. Huge breakfast. Water, tea & coffee available for free all day. Also allowed us to keep the room till afternoon for no extra charge. Rooms are clean, from terrace a nice view over the city. Also helped us to get taxi to Urgench.

The location was perfect. The family running the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We had sole use of the balcony with an amazing view over the old town. It is a perfect low budget hotel. The building has a lot of potential.

Super nice owner! I loved my stay there and would definitely go back. The owner even walked with me to the train station as I wasn't sure about the directions and Google Translate wasn't really clear neither. 10/10 😄
