Our family (2adults and four children) spent New Year Eve in this wonderful guest house. Many pros: Location in old town with a view on the main minaret Traditional house - very interesting structure The Owner and his family is absolutely fantastic. Great advices and perfect organization of transfer. Spending new year eve with his large family was an Amazon unexpected extra! Great food and company

Breakfast was great. The rooms are clean, warm and tidy. I took the airport transfer which was so convenient. The guesthouse staff are very kind and helpful. Location within the old city walls is perfect for walking around Khiva. They also offer to drop off to the train station. Thank you so much for your hospitality in Khiva.

Great local breakfast, cosy hotel and lovely staff, so helpful. Location is ideal in the old town and quiet area but easy to walk round corner to the souk and cafes etc.

Finding a place like this is one of these moments when you feel lucky to have lodged there. Beautiful, super-clean, excellent service, great hospitality. They organized a trip to the ancient castles in Karakalpastan to a very fair price. They deserve a 10+!!

The room was very good and clean and located in the heart of the old city. The whole family was super available and helpful and they can organize trips to the castles for you. We recommend this family guesthouse for sure !

- perfect location inside Ichan Qala - very kind owners (we also did a few day trips/transfers with their travel agency) - very clean - perfect breakfast (pancakes, fruits, eggs, sweets, coffee, tea, cheese... everything) - on the day we left we could have earlier breakfast

Islam Khodja is within the old town and by moving in, you immerse yourself in the Middle Ages. The view from the window is authentic, even if you don't see an architectural monument (it depends on which room you are in). The owner takes care of the guests as if they were friends. When we were leaving he went out of his way to arrange a suitable taxi for us, offered us tea and snacks even though we had already vacated the room. We were only in Khiva for one night, but our choice of hotel contributed to feeling like we were in the tales of the Thousand and One Nights.
