As a short person ceiling showers are so annoying plus the one at barton hotel the water was VERY POOR low flow of water. Also reason for booking was to use the Spa and massage facilities but the day we had our booking they was unavailable due to maintenance in spa. And massage only do 3 days not being days I had booked which didn't appear in the booking search. So disappointing. Though the Hotel and staff are great in all other areas.

We were very excited prior to our visit to this hotel. We were staying as my niece was taking part in a Cheer Competition locally and the reviews for this hotel were really good. I received a phone call prior to our stay to confirm whether we required an additional bed in any of our rooms which I thought was nice and the member of staff I spoke to was lovely. Upon arrival we were greeted by the smiley Tunde at Reception, warm and extremely professional. We were not acknowledged by her colleague sat next to her whom I later came to be informed was the hotel supervisor, Charlotte. I had completed my 3 room booking online, paid for in full prior to our arrival and as someone who frequents hotels am well aware of the security deposit required and see no issue in the policy in the event of potential damages etc. What made us uncomfortable was the way in which the supervisor firmly advised Tunde to charge us 3 times for the security deposit which I soon realised was not their usual process given the rooms were booked together, myself and my family did not comment at the time as we did not wish to create a scene and were on a 'happy high' given the nature of trip. Though the experience at Reception was vivid enough for a lasting impression, the facilities were gorgeous and all other staff we came into contact with were friendly, attentive and went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs at breakfast. I would recommend a stay here and would probably even return myself but my experience at the start of our trip did leave a slightly bitter taste in my mouth. Needless to say we had a fantastic weekend and our stay was pleasant otherwise.

Lovely hotel, great food, staff all very friendly and welcoming to our children. Great value for money. Didn’t have time to use any of the spa facilities as flying visit.

The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for our stay the shower in the room was lovely, breakfast incredible, dinner menu even moreso I highly recommend the beef burger and the Cajun chicken burger honestly Ive never been so happy with a meal and the service cannot be faulted and I can't even describe the spa it's hydrotherapy pool is kept at 38°-40° which is just amazing even on the colder days I honestly cannot rate them higher, I will be going back.

Good tasty breakfast with lots of choice. The room & bathroom were both spacious. Gym facilities are great. Friendly and helpful staff.
