Extremely dog friendly, so lovely that my dog was allowed to sleep on the bed with me, using a blanket supplied by the owners to protect the sheets, a really kind & thoughtful touch. Dogs are allowed to accompany their owners in the breakfast room and given a 'doggie sausage' each morning, my boy loved this and looked forward to greeting the owners each day. The owners were very friendly and welcoming to both me and my dog. Loved the use of their drying room to leave wet coats and boots etc, well thought out. Dog bowls were supplied in the room, along with a tin of doggie biscuits, a lovely surprise. There was even a supply of towels in the front door porch to dry your dog off after a wet walkies! Great location within easy level walking distance to Keswick town centre and very close to Fitz Park to be able to walk my dog very easily without having to use the car. Enjoyed a freshly cooked vegetarian breakfast each morning. Extremely comfortable bed, slept very well.

The location was excellent. We took our dog who was made very welcome. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Nothing too much trouble. Very friendly hosts.

Really good location, the breakfast was lovely and I was made to feel very welcome as a solo traveller. Easily walkable into town and surrounded by an array of hikes for all abilities. Thank you for your hospitality, I hope to visit again

Lovely weekend away in Keswick. This is the first time we have stayed at Winchester House but it won't be the last. The room was big and fit our dog crate and dog bed in, with enough room for us two. The host was very friendly and recommended places to go and eat. Breakfast was lovely with just the right amount. There was some nice little touches, such as treats for the dogs and bowls and drying towels provided. We will be booking again next year as it was great that somewhere was so welcoming for our dogs.
