Breakfast served in wrong manner - very difficult to get access to meals through the serving bufet.

“Expensive but worth it, an experience”

The staff and service throughout the property is exceptional. The rooms are very comfortable and we had a sea view with private pool.

“Design over function!”

There are places that impress and there are places that really try, but fall short. Unfortunately this is one of the latter. I didn't really understand the resort concept and mood at all. It is designed in a way to emulate adults only vibes but is a baby family magnet!! It is designed to be beautiful and calm but in reality it is a huge maze of houses and small corridors with lack of privacy everywhere (lucky you if you don't a random children strolling or lost inside your villa area..). I mean why is this even baby oriented? Lots of stairs, lots of walking, everything seems the same everywhere you turn, dark rooms, blistering dark restaurant area at night, a public road separating the beach...I could go on.. Oh the beach let me just say they try to have a beach club but is so cramped in the corner of the beach.. it just doesn't makes sense. The beach is average to poor for Crete standards too. The outdoor gym.. if you put glass walls and AC maybe people will use it. At 30°C who will train there? The machines and equipment is top notch though. At night there is no airy space to chill, only at the reception at the top of the hill with no ambiance at all. Everywhere else the air doesn't flow as everything is cluttered (better to choose a upper floor villa). Ok.. now for the positives. Grounds and plants are really beautiful and well cared. Food was good and breakfast has a lot of variety. Staff polite but very heterogenous most of them rushing service, they feel short numbered at breakfast. Didn't like the breakfast receptionist communicating skills. Rooms are big although not cosy and condition is average since there is some wood and walls damage. I mean grey color all around the walls and ceiling just gives a darker mood that is not so inviting.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Domes Zeen Chania and I must say it was an exceptional experience in every way. From the moment I arrived, the service was absolutely top-notch. The staff were incredibly polite, warm, and helpful, making me feel welcome and valued throughout my stay. Whether it was the front desk or the restaurant team, everyone went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The hotel’s interior is stunning, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and cozy charm. The attention to detail in the decor was noticeable in every corner, from the lobby to the rooms. Speaking of rooms, they were spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean. And the food—wow! Every meal I had was delicious, from the breakfast buffet to dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. The variety and quality of the dishes exceeded my expectations, and the presentation was just as impressive.

“Absolutely spectacular hotel. Stay here.”

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, truly superb. The reception / arrival is phenomenal, can’t think of a hotel reception view I like more. The facilities are great. The team are all lovely. Location to Chania old town is good, given it’s also a full service resort. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. You will not be disappointed. Special comments to Naya from Guest Relations who helped make our stay even more memorable.

Hello, I stayed 5 days at Dome Zeen: half booked via Marriot and half via booking.com as via Marriot I did not receive any confirmationmails! Quite a few negatives: 1. Arriving you you have to sign a 5page contract basicly (“Welcome”)(and they take n run away with your creditcard :-/). 2. the on site (apart) restaurant next to the beachhouse with socalled ‘michelin star chef’ was quite a disappointment. I saw other leaving ‘not happy’ as well. Never tasted such a salty chocolate mouse wich was really just Nesquick with whipped eggwhite. Will leave it for that here. 3. The appartments (also with pool) are ON TOP of each other, so if you have bad luck (I did not) you might have nuisance of neighbours. 4. At the end at check out they again wave with many papers filled with numbers and terms so that eventually I -later recounted- paid €88,- too much! On top of the WAY TOO expensive dinner at the “luxury restaurant” (€45,- for just a baked fish with cheap local vegetables!) (5. The normal beachhouse restaurant had quite easy/to me disapointing dishes: salmon, pasta carbonara, piece of pork . . .uch. But oke I can understand the usual tourist not alwys appreciates local food) Positives: 1. Rooms/appartments are very nice inside! The first appartment we had (not a family w 2 bedrooms) had a supershower and most spacious bathroom. (Good airco too). Pools are actually a bit too small to ‘swim’ in. 2. The breakfast is one of the best I can remember. 3. At the breakfast they approach you quite often and quick for coffee and juice. (And please dont ask me for a review in the morning before I had my coffee, or (after 10 minutes waiting on the receptioncouch) when our departure taxe arrives and the chauffeur waits for us ;-/. Sorry but I would not go here again. Hope this helps others (even tried to keep d negatives short)
