Free breakfast was good. The hostel was nicer than other similarly priced places in Kathmandu with a gorgeous garden. The owner walks guests to the bus stop each morning too which was quite nice.

The host is nice, good breakfast is served every morning in the garden, and they are more than happy to help booking taxi’s, tours and trekkings! The location was very good, just outside of the hectic Thamel and therefore quiet, but in walking distance to easily go to restaurants/shopping. The rooms are basic but clean and are definitely worth it given the good price!

Ideally located just a few hundred metres from Thamel but in a quiet area. The room was clean with a nice balcony. Breakfast served in the garden included juice, eggs, toast, bananas and tea/coffee. Last but not least the staff were brilliant and the manager made us feel very welcome … this was a return visit for us!

Really friendly staff who always go out of their way to help out and organise anything you need. Including booking another hotel for us when we turned up without a booking and they were full. Rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Drinking water always available. Nice garden. Free luggage storage. Also very useful take or leave table where we picked up useful items for our treks i.e poles, gloves, crampons. Decent breakfast that they are very flexible with timing, if leaving very early for example. Have stayed here multiple times over multiple trips to Nepal, my home from home.

We had an amazing stay at Elbrus. The staff were so helpful, especially in helping us to arrange our trek and also when both of us got sick! We had a deluxe private room which was excellent value for money, it was the largest private room in a hostel I've ever had.
