Cross the road and your at the temple. The food also is good. Raju the bellboy completes your stay.

The staff was friendly, and there’s a convenient parking area inside the gates. Overall, the room was comfortable and clean, and the food was quite good.

This is a charming, cozy hotel with an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. While it’s not the most luxurious, it offers all the essential amenities, including air conditioning and hot water. Its location is ideal, being very close to the sacred area of Kataragama. The staff can assist in arranging three-wheeler transport to and from the hotel, as personal vehicles are not allowed in the sacred zone without a special pass. One standout feature is the designated area for preparing offerings, and the staff go out of their way to help with the process. However, it's important to bring all necessary items with you, as certain supplies can be difficult to find in Kataragama due to its small-town nature and limited shopping options.

the hotel was good, staff was good, comfy and large rooms, peaceful area. Pool was clean when we got there, the door lock system is nice, it wont open from the outside with no card and beeps if door is kept open for for than 30 seconds.

It's a large old hotel, catering to the many pilgrims who travel through Kataragama. But they were very welcoming to we Western tourists! We took a room with a private balcony, but it was a claustrophobic small area out the back, the large shared terrace at front was much more attractive. Because they are not catering to Westerners, the price is very good value. As everywhere, the staff were so kind, helpful and welcoming, in spite of little English being spoken. There is also a pool! (though we didn't use it).
