Hotel Overview

Seehotel Kastanienbaum welcomes you on the quiet Horw peninsula, a 15-minute drive from the old town of Lucerne. Look forward to a breathtaking view over Lake Lucerne and the mountain panorama of Central Switzerland. In addition, a private beach with sunbathing lawn and a heated outdoor pool await you during the summer months.
Start the day with a rich breakfast. In the lakeside restaurant and in summer also on the lakeside terrace, regional delicacies and newly interpreted classics are served - with a grandiose view.
Upon arrival, you will receive a free ticket for public transportation in the city of Lucerne. You can easily reach the center of Lucerne by boat or public bus. The boat station and the bus stop are located directly at the hotel.

“Great weekend escape with mountain and lake view”

The location is beautiful with the lake and the mountain peaks in front of the hotel. This is a great escape when wanting to have the close proximity to the city of Lucerne but being away in the quietness at the same time. During winter season, it's even more picturesque and charmy with the chalets right in front of the hotel's restaurant. The rooms are clean and fresh! The breakfast buffet is big and very nice. Just keep in mind that gluten free bread is not offered unless asked for it (they need 20 min preparation to have it done). Also the restaurant offers a good selection of meals. We will happily stay here again!

The cleanliness of the place and the surrounding nature are wonderful.. and there is a girl who speaks Spanish and dealing with her is classy.

-gorgeous 4 star hotel with delicious breakfast buffet, huge variety of food. Great view on the lake from the dining room! -spotless clean rooms and facilities -great spa area, beautiful beach with hot jacuzzi and breathtaking view -professional staff, absolutely nothing to complain about!

Upon arrival reception staff upgraded us to a lake front view room with a balcony, stunning. The view again from the dining room was lake front and fantastic. The location on the lake is the star for this hotel. Staff were also outstanding from reception staff to dining room.
