This hotel with a friendly staff is located on the outskirts of downtown Karlsruhe is a good starting point to explore the city. It offers a clean room, a comfy bed, and a tasty breakfast buffet in the morning. There's also an underground garage available (not free, btw!).

Breakfast was good, reasonable variety, coffee ok. Room seemed seemed clean, I wasn't sure about the two small duvets on the bed rather than one large because it kept coming off. Apparently that is standard for German bedding. The wireless charger in the room is a nice touch but mine wasn't working reliably which was frustrating - if it wasn't there I wouldn't have had anything to complain about. I tried making a few calls in room but it was not connecting but I had phone checked and apparently it was fine. I asked for a room close to lift but it was right at the far end of the corridor which defeats the purpose of me asking since I have mobility issues and prefer less walking. It was close to A lift but we never used that lift and it did not seem to stop at reception level (and it far away from main entrance). Room had a balcony but not much of a view at the back - the hotel is in a built up area on a side street. Staff were nice and especially in the restaurant - they weren't busy and were able to make me a dish without the white wine added on request.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, walking distance to the city centre, with underground parking and great breakfast! Due to changes in our plans I had to decrease our stay by 1 night and they reacted very quickly. Definitely recommend it!

Close to publiic transport but quiet, very good breakfast, reasonable prices, good restaurant and friendly personnel.
