The Karamea River Motel is a fantastic place to stay if you’re visiting the area. The property is well-maintained, offering spacious, clean, and comfortable accommodations. Its location is ideal, with everything in Karamea just a short drive away. Alison, the owner, was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and welcoming. She took the time to explain everything to us upon arrival.

From the first moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and informative on what to do and see in Karamea. The room was very clean and tidy and we were happy to have a private patio in a peaceful, rural setting.

Location was great and host was really lovely and chatty. Was able to do our washing (for a fee) and view was cool - llamas and other animals for company!

The most immaculately clean motel facility you could ask for. We stayed 3 days. The unit was serviced daily. Very very impressed.

Immaculately clean! Really appreciated the heater being on when we arrived as it was quite cool! Only stayed two nights but towels and shower curtain changed after first night!
