We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was very clean and tidy. The room is well equipped and everything worked without any problems. It is about a 20 minute walk to the city centre. The accommodation is in a quiet neighbourhood, which we found very good. The host was very friendly and nice. Also all the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our host recommended a great driver with whom we visited ancient temples. Clear recommendation if you are looking for accommodation in Kandy.

Fantastic 3 night stay here on our trip to Kandy. Shenani and her staff were attentive, helpful and kind and the home cooked dinner and breakfasts were delicious. Lovely rooms with great views and short walk to tooth temple and town. Highly recommend!

Lovely warm welcome and hospitality- the owner is very friendly and helpful. Organised a day trip for us, and the breakfast was lovely. Lovely balcony on our room and great views of Kandy

The room was lovely, the breakfast was delicious (they make the best hoppers ever), and the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Super friendly staff and very welcoming. Very large room with a great balcony, there's a lot of stairs which was fine but something to note if you are unfit. Location is fairly close to town although it's not the best walk with lack of pavements in places.

The staff at Villa 49 consistently go above and beyond to ensure you feel comfortable and at home. Their genuine interest in your well-being creates a welcoming atmosphere, making every effort to make your stay memorable. The rooms are functional but may need some updates down the road. The bathrooms are small but still fine for use, and the food is a highlight, offering delicious, home-style meals.
