We stayed 1 night at Kandy Living Homestay and we had an amazing experience, the location is away from the craziness of Kandy but close enough from things. The property is beautiful and very relaxing. The owner who welcomed us was extremely nice and gave us a lot of advice in terms of transportation. The food was delicious as well as the homemade ice tea! The room was very clean and big enough for 2 people and what is very good about this place it’s like you stay at someone house in the middle of the jungle, so don’t hesitate it’s a great Sri Lankaise experience!

It is a perfect calmly place to relax in the busy Kandy. The cooking class was the best I had in Sri Lanka! It was so special to see how everything was made in their beautiful outside kitchen. Accomodation was great as well, very neat!

Beautiful stay, away from the business of the city but close enough to explore! Very clean, beautiful room, nice garden, lovely staff. Would recommend the cooking class!!

One of the best stays of my SL trip. The managers and chefs were great. The breakfast was filling, we added the cream of mushroom soup which was sooo goood. Must have!! The location is abit away from the central but thats just how we wanted it. Pick me rides were easily accessible as well.

What can we say? We absolutely loved our one night stay here. We were warmly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. We took up the offer to do the cooking class with other couples from the homestay. This was a great experience and we highly recommend for anyone staying to do this. Breakfast was excellent, however we had to cut it short to catch the train from Kandy to Ella. Also top tip for anyone worried about not getting train tickets mid week, just turn up 45 mins before departure to grab 2nd or 3rd class tickets.

Excellent stay in Kandy a 10 minute drive from the centre. Staff are very helpful and available 24 hours a day for queries. The breakfast was delicious and a good portion size, not too big like other places we stayed. Highly recommend having dinner here and opting for their cooking class demonstration it was a highlight for us. Rooms are comfortable and you have access to the kettle in the kitchen at any time. Plenty outdoor and indoor space to relax. Shared bathroom was kept clean and stocked. Room got slightly warm and there is limited airflow but we kept the door open and fan on when we were around which helped.

One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! An absolutely incredible guesthouse with the most lovely hosts, and crazy good value for money. We had a beautifully decorated room, and there were several hangout spots both indoors and outdoors that you were welcome to spend time in. The breakfasts/dinners are served al fresco under a pergola overlooking the valley with rice paddies and beautiful birdsong. One of the absolute highlights was the free cooking class to make your dinner - we made 4-5 different curries with our rice and curry order, with the most delightful chef patiently waiting for us to weakly shred fresh coconut to make sambal!! About a 10-15 min tuktuk ride into town for an explore, which was very reasonably priced. I'm so glad we stayed here a bit away from the centre of town rather than in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hosts are also so welcoming and lovely, and speak excellent English. They also helped organise transport for us to Nuwara Eliya to our next stay. This was a genuinely edenic experience and we would absolutely come stay here again on a future visit to Sri Lanka.

Amazing home stay. Very relaxing and excellent food. The cooking class was superb and were given the recipes. A lot of knowledge about home medicines and remedies too. A very relaxing atmosphere.
