Perfect location, walking distance to the castle and other atractions. Small minimarket just around the corner and an amazing sushi restaurant two minutes away.

We had a lovely stay in Kanazawa and the room (it was actually a whole apartment) was a traditional one with futons and tatami so it added value to the whole experience. The area was quiet, and a bit hard to reach with heavy luggage, but we still were able to make it. Michio was very kind and helpful. He told us we could check in earlier than we had read on Booking and left us a guide on how to self-check in, as we arrived later than expected.

The room was spacious, and the table with chairs was very convenient. We loved the experience of sleeping on the tatami and preparing and storing the bed every night and morning. The kitchen had all the amenities needed for simple meals. The toilet was very compact (like in a campervan), but it became manageable once we got used to it. The WiFi was excellent, and the shared laundry was a great addition. A vacuum cleaner was also very useful since we stayed for several nights. The area was very quiet, yet conveniently close to the famous gardens and castle. The check-in process was smooth, with clear instructions and an efficient lockbox system, free of any extra digital steps.

The self check-in was easy and the property located in a quiet area nearby the castle. The room was really nice with good futons and blankets. Some info and maps were available in the property too. Overall, a nice stay for a few days of exploring!

The location is great for the price. The main attractions in the city are no more than 30-35mins or less by walking and the buses are reliable. (Room 205) Plenty of kitchen utensils to use, good sized fridge, bedding was really comfy and the tv was good for some background noise. Beware, the bathroom is crampy, but it has awesome shower pressure. When getting there from the station, follow the directions from the owner and don’t bother with google maps. There’s a mini conbini on the corner, walk the lane for around 30mtrs and turn left where you’ll see a sign posted for the units.
