A wonderful stay! By far the best breakfast we had in Japan. A fantastic homemade bread with organic dishes that make you want to go out of bed. .. While the beds were also the best we had in our trip (we tried 6 hotels)! Finally a last golden medal for the friendliness of the host. Thank you again Carmay for your devotion and nice discussions.

Half way through our month long journey through Japan, we had the luck to stay at Sunmoon BnB and it was our favourite accommodation by far. The rooms are clean and spacious, the host is the sweetest person you can meet. Being a host and taking care of his guests seems to really be his passion and the breakfast made by ingredients from his own farm was the best that we had in Japan. If you are not staying there, you are really missing out! Thanks a lot for having us!

Really well located - walking distance to some fantastic areas. Carmay is an excellent host, even collecting us from the train station and dropping us back at the end of the stay. Breakfast was delicious.

Excellent Host. Carmay, the owner makes you feel welcomed the moment you checked in. He offered to pick us up from the train station. There was no need as we drove. Parking was free which was a bonus. Carmay cooked a tasty breakfast, ingredients brought in fresh from his farm. He even provided us with fresh spring water. He also gave us tips where to visit and gave us an excellent suggestion to drive the Shirawago White Road to Tayayama. We experienced beautiful Autumn views in the mountains thanks to him ☺️ We stayed in Nov

It was situated in a quiet area very close to the Higashi Chaya District. It Car-May was an exceptional host who was both thoughtful and informative. He suggested activities we could do and restaurants that provided us with some wonderful experiences. The room was great- comfortable beds and the biggest shower room we encountered in our stay in Japan. We chose the Japanese breakfasts and they were delicious! Every day was a different menu with multiple dishes, ingredient sourced from his farm, and he took great care to accomodate my daughter’s dietary limitations. We certainly looked forward to discovering what he was serving each morning!

Honestly a hidden gem. The owner goes beyond and above to make you feel welcome - starting with tips on the sightseeing and restaurants, ending with making breakfast for you with local products from his farm and much more! You can see this place is created with heart in mind. Also location of the BnB is excellent as it’s right where Geisha district is, so everything is close by. Wishing to be back one day!

Extremely central and amazing owner. People were so friendly and taking care of everything during our stay. Breakfast was amazing and everything so local and so tasty! I will recommend it without any doubt and I am sure I will come back!!

Everything! Carmay is a very generous and thoughtful host. He kindly picked us up from the station, let us borrow umbrellas for the rain and leave our bags after checkout so we could explore the city. The breakfast was delicious - made with produce from Carmay's organic farm. The room was also excellent - a nice, clean peaceful space and very nice bathroom. The location is also great for exploring Kanazawa.
