Super cute and quaint place tucked in a bustling location. Really enjoyed the private baths and our stay was super comfortable!

Friendly staff, clean facilities and comfortable tatami room. Good access to many bars and restaurants, and attractions, easy bus ride to Kanazawa Station and Omicho Market. Evening soak in onsen tub was delightful. Last visited in 2018 and it hasn't lost it's charm.

Traditional ryokan tucked away down a side street nearby a main shopping open air mall. The owners were so welcoming and helpful, great with English and my bad Japanese. We had traditional breakfasts which I thought were amazing but were a bit much for the kids.

We absolutely loved our stay at Murataya! The hosts were incredible lovely and sweet and take a lot of pride in their beautiful place 😊 We really enjoyed the onsen and relaxing in the cosy traditional room in our robes provided. We would definitely stay again!!

Both the western and the Japanese breakfasts were very nice. The owners are kind and helpful. The weather was cold and snowy and rainy and windy so I hope to come back when the weather is a little nicer. But they have a device which dries out your boots when you get back!

The location was great, exactly what we needed. We stayed in a small room with a nice window view to the little garden which was really nice. It was a great stay and what we expected too.

The public baths were the highlight; the were clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. The futon was fluffy and excellent to sleep on, and it was fun to wear the yukata around the accommodation. I wish I'd stayed another night or two to make use of all the facilities to their fullest.

From the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional hospitality. The serene atmosphere and authentic design of the ryokan offered a perfect experience on our travels. Their traditional breakfast is also worth trying! We wholeheartedly recommend visiting Kanazawa and staying at this ryokan to anyone looking to experience traditional Japanese culture in a welcoming and peaceful setting.
