The room was amazing! It was so spacious and very nicely decorated. The fridge and lounge was well stocked. Onsen was clean and so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Loved my stay at Kurumiya, was definitely the highlight of my Japan trip.

Everything. This place is actually a 11/10. The 3 ladies we met from the staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and helpful (booked the diner tables for us in nearby restaurants). The room was amazing, big with comfortable beds while the private onsen is a must try. With no doubts the best place we stayed in during 3 weeks of traveling in Japan.

We loved everything about Kurumiya. The character, the craftsmanship, lovely spacious room with comfy beds and onsen bath, very friendly and attentive hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My husband liked the Netflix. Beautiful Japanese breakfast which was different every day. The location was good too. Near Higashi Chaya and Omicron markets with Machi-Nori cycle share point right across the road and buses nearby.

The room itself is modern whilst still embracing the authentic Japanese culture. We loved the modern appliances that made our stay so much more comfortable. The amenities were great - free ice cream and drinks available and I loved the lounge area. The staff were all so so friendly especially the woman manager - one of the best hosts we have ever had in the sense of being super courteous and accommodating whilst still giving us the space to have a lovely private time at the hotel. We would recommend staying here 100% and would return in the future. Location was also perfect - close to all of the key places to visit!

This was our favourite stay in Japan without a doubt. Everything from the room, location, & staff were exceptional. The full Japanese breakfast is a must try, we felt like we were in a Michelan star restaurant. Treat yourself to this unforgettable stay you will not regret it!

Wow. This is seriously one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed in anywhere in the world. Simple, understated elegance. Beautiful, spacious rooms. Amazing beds & bathrooms. Helpful & enthusiastic service.
