Such a wholesome vibe, it felt like a 2nd family. Nina was great and ran some really informative and enjoyable activities at 8pm every night - we made traditional mochi and did origami another night. Really comfortable rooms.

I had the best time at Pongi guest house 😍 Nina and Masaki are incredibly kind and welcoming, you directly feel at home. Every night an activity is planned, which I was always looking forward to: we did origami, cooking, etc. It was so cosy, and they explained to me many very interesting fact about the Japanese culture and Kanazawa. It also makes it very easy to connect with other travellers and have a great time all together. Also the location is perfect, 10 min walking from train station, and the beds and rooms are very confortable. I would 100% recommend, it added great memories to my trip to Japan 😊

Everything! But I especially love the evening activities with Nina-san, Masaki-san and the guests. I got to meet different people and have lovely time and conversations with them. The Nabe night was one of the highlights!! Everything was clean and organized. It is quite nearby at the Kanazawa station and there are a lot of shops nearby.

Masaki-san and Lina-san were soooo friendly and helpful - full of positive energy, which they passed to us and contributed to the nice time we had at pongyi in kanazawa. We liked the calm and traditional vibe. Thank you very much 😊

Everything was amazing. We really enjoyed our time here. Our hosts were very kind and we had an amazing chat while they were teaching us some origami. The location couldn't be better and the place was cozy and spotless.

Wonderful stay in a unique house located a few minutes walk from Kanazawa station. The charming hosts will make you feel right at home. They organized a Japanese cooking class the day I stayed there which was both educational and very fun. highly recommended stay in Kanazawa.

We came for a nice and cosy accommodation, and we got that and so much more: origami night, japanese cooking course, own kanji name creation. In the 2 days we spent there we learned more about Japan than in a whole week before that.

This guesthouse is the best you can imagine! The hosts: Nina San & Masaki San are sooo sweeeet, they are the best! They will make you feel right at home...! Every evening we had a nice workshop with the other guests! I will absolutely come back to Guest Pongyi in the future.....!!! 💓 Sending my love to Nina San & Masaki San 😘

Even though we had high expectations based on the great reviews, our stay managed to exceed all our expectations! Nina and Masaki were incredible hosts. Nina was so friendly and explained what sights there were to see, even offering to reserve things for us. She made us feel at home immediately and made us very comfortable by introducing us to other guests. The evening activities were amazing. Nina and Masaki went above and beyond, and have a genuine passion for making your stay special and giving you an insight into Japanese life, which you wouldn’t experience elsewhere. I would recommend to anyone visiting Kanazawa and we will hopefully stay again in the future!
