A fun place to hang out for a few days. Owned by expats who understand what travellers need and want and they deliver! From live music on Taco Tuesday night to Trivia Sundays, a pool side bar and scooters onsite to rent. Rooms are clean, comfortable, the grounds are lovely and it's only a $1 tuktuk ride into town.

I booked a 4bed dormitory but there were actually 5 beds. 3 toilets/showers were also shared with another dormitory. So on comfort level a little minus, but the place is nice with a great daytime bar at the pool and a nightbar on the roof. And there are special nights like tuesday taco, friday ´open mic´ ... Also the food they serve is pretty good.

Really comfy beds with 2 pillows. Fan in the bunk as well as AC for the room which was so nice. The view from the rooftop bar is spectacular. Thought it was good that they organise social events - we did the pub quiz and thought it was really well organised and run and a $20 bar tab is a great prize! Staff were amazing here, so helpful and kind. They helped us organise a half day excursion around Kampot and also our onward travel, for a great price. 100% recommend if you’re looking for a chill, comfy space in Kampot!

Great hostel, best one I’ve stayed at in many weeks. Beds were big and comfy, nicely isolated and cool thanks to a personal fan. Rooms were tidied daily. Delicious affordable food. Good coffee and smoothies! Very chilled, but social vibe, exactly what I was looking for. Not for party people, but for those who appreciate good conversation and board games. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. Cute pets around too.

Very nice and social hostel! The pool is amazing, so is the rooftopbar. The happy hour is really great and good value for money. Also have some activities going on, we had a fun time during the quiz!

Karma Traders Hostel feels like a home away from home – so much so I’ve stayed three times now and am always extending! From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted by the loveliest reception team—Srey Leap, Srey Rath, Vin, and Pov —who are always kind, funny, and just cheeky enough to brighten your day. It’s those little touches that set the tone for your stay. The private rooms are massive and spotless and come with comfy beds, perfect after a day of exploring (or recovering from rooftop cocktails!). Speaking of which, the rooftop bar is a vibe: live music, games, chilled people, and great drinks thanks to Bonor and Seyha, who know their way around a cocktail shaker. Down by the pool, Jeff makes sure the mornings start right, while Hayley is always working her magic to keep everything running smoothly—and she’s a gem to chat with too. The whole place has this effortless charm. There’s a proper mix of people coming through, from solo wanderers to small groups, but it’s always a good crowd, with a laid-back social vibe that’s easy to jump into. You’ve got a lovely pool to cool off in, a table tennis table for a bit of banter, and draught beer to keep you refreshed. Bonus points for the new spa just down the road if you fancy a bit of pampering. Location-wise, it’s bang-on, and you can organise your tours at reception. A short walk to town but tucked away from the busy streets, so you get all the action without the chaos. It’s a proper little sanctuary—stay a night, stay a week, stay a month, it just works. Huge shout-out to Courtney and Jolly for creating such a well-thought-out and welcoming space. It’s clear how much care and attention has gone into every detail, and their recommendations are always spot on. Karma Traders is the perfect blend of relaxation, good food, and great company. Trust me, you won’t want to leave!
