It's what a hostel should be. Bit old around the edges but really comfortable. Stavros the owner was so nice, friendly & helpful, went out of his way. So close to everything. Outside areas great. Just need internet

Stavros is very helpfull and friendly! He waited for me after the normal last check in time because I was very late. You can meet people there and the location is great. Cheaper place in the town.

Stavros was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location of the hostel is excellent, especially for the old town, farmer's market and bus station, but is only a ~40 minute easy walk from the beach. I also hired a bike which was easy and fun, for 10€. The room was cosy, comfortable and spacious, and I had access to a fridge, kettle, cutlery and plates. The location felt safe and friendly at all times of day. The value for money is excellent. I would highly recommend staying here if you're travelling on a budget and want to stay somewhere friendly and affordable.

The hostel is close to the old town and within walking distance of the bus station. It's a great place to stay, cheap and cheerful and the owner is friendly.

I am so happy I find this I lovely place that feels like home 🙂Stavros he is kind and the room is very nice and if you want a cosy accomodation with a good price here you will be happy. If you are expecting 5* for low price ...keep walking! Do not come to simple Spiti & then complain and nag about things . The room is clean , bed is comfy, free tea ,coffee etc..no kitchen but you can use fridge And make sandwich or simple uncooked foods. It feels like a home not a hotel. This is priceless And for me even if I was a millionaire I would rather stay in this place that a lux 5* hotel with no personal treatment. Stavros is nice and gives information on restaurants , offers coffee, and lovely conversation. This is real Ellada Hellas Greece !! Without all the commercial crap . The stay at Stravoz was great! Upon arrival, which we had agreed upon in advance, there was a friendly welcome from Stravoz with small talk, a coffee and a brief introduction to the rules of the house. The house has two terraces and balconies. You can sit there in the evening, have dinner or just relax. There were also tips for the area. The hotel is in the old town of Kalamata. On Googlemaps the hotel looks far away from the crowd, but it isn't. It couldn't be more central. Since everything was within a 300m radius, The stay was pleasant because there were no long distances from the hotel. All in all I would go to Stravoz hotel again if I travel to Kalamata.
