Lagoon Tower Improvement Project - Royal Kona Resort is comprised of three individual towers in which guestrooms are located - Alii Tower, Bay Tower and Lagoon Tower. Exterior restoration work is taking place at the Lagoon Tower, located on the southern end of the resort property. No exterior restoration work is taking place at the Alii Tower or the Bay Tower. Guests booking the Royal Kona Resort will be accommodated exclusively in the Alii Tower or the Bay Tower, unless they have specifically chosen to book rooms located in the Lagoon Tower, which are being offered at a discounted rate and identified as "Lagoon Tower Renovation Rates". Resort guests may see scaffolding, repair work and painting occurring to the Lagoon Tower. While every effort will be made to minimize noise, resort guests may hear some work being done. Project work on the Lagoon Tower is restricted between 9am and 4pm. Our Lagoon Tower Improvement Project will continue through December 31, 2025 (subject to change)Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Great view from the spacious room. Lovely waking up to watch the spinner dolphins. Convenient for local restaurants bars. Distilled water freely available.

Our flight got cancelled and we booked this after 11:30pm. The personnel was nice and helpful and checked us in very late. We spent just one (short) night before heading back to the airport, but it was comfortable.

Fabulous location a two minute walk from main historic street of Kona with plently of fabulous bars and restuarants. Probably is the best place to stay location wise!!

We were seated right next to the ocean which was lovely and our meals were delicious but huge, I couldn't finish it all.

The location of the hotel was perfect. Easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Stayed in a deluxe ocean view room which was worth the view

We were upgraded to a full oceanfront view which was a very nice surprise. The location couldn't be any better, it is directly on the sea and you have an absolutely beautiful view to wake up to in the morning with the balcony to walk into and get an idea of the weather of the day.

The room was very comfortable. The view from the lanai was very good. The grounds were beautiful. The restaurant was pleasant and casual.
