Everything! Lovely people, real attention to detail - post of fresh flowers beside the bed, proper good quality bed linen, well appointed by someone with an eye for design. After a very difficult day, a warm bed, room and helpfulness was absolutely what was needed!

Amazing property overlooking/right opposite the beach. Room was very clean and classy. Hosts were extremely lovely and friendly. Patrick gave a great suggestion for a restaurant and we were not disappointed. A lovely home made breakfast to finish off.

Fantastic stay with hosts that went out of their way to be helpful. Room was very comfortable and the breakfast was a real treat as was the restaurant recommendation that we were given, which the host helpfully booked. Would highly recommend a stay here if visiting Kaikoura.

Staying at the Hamptons was a dream. Patrick and his wife (the owners of the property) were so welcoming and accommodating. Having breakfast with them in their lovely home was a highlight. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable and we could see dolphins in the bay right from our window. I cannot recommend enough!

Patrick and Mary Clare we super hosts, very friendly and charming. The breakfast they served was delicious and they made us feel very special. The location was perfect, across the road from the beach but away of noise.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Hamptons during our 4-week trip to New Zealand, and it was the best B&B of our journey. The house is stunning, with a beautiful garden full of roses and fresh fruits, which we were lucky enough to enjoy as part of our breakfast. Speaking of breakfast—it was superb! Healthy, delicious, and served with a warm, friendly chat with the hosts, which made our mornings extra special. The room was spotlessly clean, modern, and incredibly comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The central location made it an excellent base for exploring the area, and the hosts went above and beyond with fantastic tips on what to see and do nearby. This B&B truly felt like a home away from home. We can’t recommend it highly enough—thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Cannot praise this place too highly. A rare gem from the welcome from Patrick and Mary-Clare to the fantastic views across the bay and mountains, everything was perfect. The room was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had a view to die for. The breakfast was delicious and it was great to spot dolphins from the window! Book if you can get in because this place is truly special.
