We loved everything about our stay at Nikau Lodge! The place and location are perfect. Mick and Karen were excellent hosts. We were sorry to only be able to stay one night!

We arrived late but this was not an issue as the landlords were flexible. The room was nice and the view from to the mountains and the see impressive. In the morning the breakfast was made fresh and was delicious.

By far the most phenomenal accommodation we've experienced in New Zealand. The whole home was immaculate, inside and out, and the bed was the most comfortable we've slept in. The view from the Whale Room was breathtaking! Thank you, Mick and Karen for the brilliant hospitality.

The Location was ideal with beautiful views upstairs & a short walk from the town centre. Mick & Karen were very friendly & helpful. Mick cooks an amazing breakfast that's worth staying there just for that :-) Highly recommend & definitely look forward to staying there again. Cheers Byron & Angela.

Appreciated the pick up from the train, the spa, the awesome view of ocean and mountains, the selection of soaps in the shower, the tasty breakfast, the spacious breakfast room/kitchen, friendly hosts, the amazing weather and colourful garden, the ability to store our e-bikes overnight, the milk and biscuits in the fridge
