Amazing hostel! Rooms were clean, kitchens were spacious and the pool and spa were an added bonus! Lovely staff and the location was in good walking distance from all major sights in Kaikōura. Would recommend.

The room was great. The guy that was on the front desk and at the café was great, he has great customer service, polite even got my kids involved in what he was doing! His pizzas were amazing, my boys also loved them! Both my boys are nuro-diverse so the pool and spa were great for them also. We would definitely stay again.

Good common areas - two relatively big kitchens, sofas, fireplaces, lots of open space, and the hot tub and sauna were definitely a nice surprise.

Staff were amazing, especially the guy who seems to be all around, forgot his name. Very interactive and accommodating. We liked the extra amenities as well, such as the sauna and pool. Much needed after a long day. For a backpacker, its great to have multiple kitchens available. The room we got was perfect for our big group

Staff told me how to access the seal colony, it was so helpful. You can find a petrol station, a local bakery, and New World near the lodge.
