Donegal House is in a great location, just a small drive into the town. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and it’s a great addition to have the bar and restaurant on your doorstep. The food is excellent and there is a large terrace to look over the garden while you eat or enjoy a drink. We had a room facing the garden and it was magical to wake up to the view. Definitely recommend

The place was well equiped and the room was big and clean. The view and the property was amazing and James was extremely helpful and gave us some tips for our travel in kaikoura.

It’s nothing luxurious at all but the whole place has a lot of Charme and is really peaceful - as it’s not in the town Centre of kaikoura. Still it’s not far away at all - to the town center we drove about 5 minutes which was great! If you want something luxurious this is not for you but this place was great - it has a lot of character and the staff were so nice ! Great place to eat and to drink as well!
