The staff are incredibly friendly, and the vibes are absolutely lovely. You can see the sea from the garden and with a short walk you are on the beach. Great hostel on a great location.

It was a welcoming place to stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was great as were the Lodge's gardens and views. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Kaikoura

First of all the super kind host! She was so nice, and it felt very personal. The Hostel is located literally 2 minutes on foot from town centre, and at the same time the atmosphere is extremely relaxed, peaceful and quiet:) Nice and clean rooms and bathrooms!
