The hotel is very outdated, but in general it is ok. There is no bathroom in the room, it is on a separate floor (clean enough). There is almost never any staff at the counter, and when checking in, the administrator took a long time to figure out where I live. Overall, it's not bad. The location is quite convenient. The room is bright. The Internet is working.

Breakfast is available at a separate establishment on the first floor. I didn't eat it. I was glad to have a bed that was not a bunk bed. Although it was cold outside, the guest house was warm. There is a Nishimuta supermarket and the Kagoma Onsen sento within easy walking distance. This guest house is also very close to the streetcar stop at Asahidori and to the tenmonkan shopping district.

I stayed here for one night before getting on a ferry to Yakushima. The place is located close to the ferry terminal, and it is directly reachable by bus from Kagoshima Airport. There are several convenience stores nearby. The solo room I got was clean, and so was the shower. Upon arriving, there was no one at the reception, but there were clear instructions on how to access the room. I could access this information with my reservation number. The room wasn't big, but it was enough. There is a community space with a microwave on the 3rd floor, but I didn't use it, so I don't know how it is.

Location was great, close to the aquarium and ferry to Sakurajima. The bathroom was clean, which is appreciated in a shared space.

Quiet, budget stay in Kagoshima. Located well in the city (close to a tram stop, airport limousine bus nearby, easy access to Sakurajima), Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean.
