It’s next to the beach with a good view of Sakura island. It’s very chic. I love the items they use. And they offer free tasty muffins as breakfast. The lady at the front desk is very friendly and helpful!

With its eclectic decoration and stunning view of Sakurajima, this was a fantastic place to stay in Kagoshima. Our room was small but clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the little breakfast bag (muffin and fruit) provided every morning. Would definitely stay again. Beautiful beach just behind the hotel.

this guesthouse is beautiful! amazing views of the volcano on sakurajima, very well decorated and designed decor. right on the beach too 👍 getting to the airport was easy enough there’s a bus nearby

I had a wonderful stay at the Guesthouse in Kagoshima! Although it’s a simple guesthouse, it offers everything you need. What impressed me the most was their warm hospitality. When I was feeling unwell, they helped me find a doctor, and when I forgot something, they promptly sent it to my next destination. The location is perfect, and the atmosphere is cozy. I highly recommend this guesthouse and give it 10 stars!

The guesthouse is very lovely and interesting. On the second floor beneath it is a gallery and on the first floor there is a café. All of them with their unique artsy decoration and atmosphere. The guesthouse is right next to a small beach in a less busy part of Kagoshima with a fantastic view of the Sakurajima volcano. We were able to watch a small live eruption for breakfast! Also, the staff is super nice and went out of their way to help us out on several occasions. All in all we were super happy with Carapan Guesthouse and warmly recommend staying here.

The position of the guest house is probably the best feature. Thanks to the jet lag we have been able to wake up and see the sunrise over the volcano every morning! The room was decently sized and the beds were very comfortable. We had a mezzanine type of bed where we were able to put our bags to free up space on the floor. The showers and bathrooms were very clean (only downside is there was only one shower and one toilet per gender, but we were lucky and never had any issues with this). The little beach in front of the building was perfect for a morning/evening swim. Located about 10min drive from Kagoshima, there is a bus stop just outside the building and parking as well. Would definitely stay here again!

The location was great for a relaxing stay in Kagoshima on the beach, the building itself looks run-down from the outside but the inside looks amazing and as per the pictures posted by the property. They provided small breakfasts such as muffins and fruit every morning which was appreciated. The rooms were quite cute and nice to stay in but the lobby with the view of Sakurajima was amazing and a great place to relax and chat with other travellers.
