The location is fantastic, so peaceful in rustic countryside although it is in very easy reach of medieval towns such as Sant Joan les Fonts, Castelfollit de la Roca, Besalu and Pont d LLierca (at Montagut). There is a pool and loungers but not open in early April. Half board was superb, breakfast served in person, not a buffet as in so many places. Three course evening meal, including wine and coffee was delicious.

I chose Mas El Ferres because it was in the area I wanted to visit and had the facilities, swimming pool and half board, I required. Previous reviews were very complimentary about the accommodation and facilities and I would agree that it is an excellent place to stay. The setting is rural, the whole place, inside and out, is impeccably clean, and the staff are welcoming and efficient. The swimming pool is of a very good size and well maintained. Previous negative review comments about the food and wifi I found to be unfounded; the food is simple but plentiful and well served for both breakfast and dinner, the wifi functioned well in the bedroom and outside. I would highly recommend the property in terms of great value for money.

this is a lovely house located 10-15 mins driving from Olot. people who were there to accommodate us (I guess the owners) were absolutely adorable and friendly! a really really great place to escape from town and enjoy the countryside. an advise: make sure to try their home-made food :) it's delicious!
