The Parkwood is an oasis of tranquility in a busy city. We are regular travellers to South Africa and the Parkwood is our go to place. Comfortable, secure and convenient to most places. Staff are efficient, charming and helpful.

Nice fresh fruit at breakfast, plenty of variety for breakfast also. Very relaxed. The location was ideal for walking to the local shopping mall and the staff advised us the safest route to walk.

This was a recommendation from a friend so I decided to check in for a few nights. My room was cosy and cute with underfloor heating for those cold Johannesburg mornings. The owners were utterly delightful and introduced themselves and clearly very proud. The breakfast was sumptuous and thank you to JP for fantastic interactions.

Clean, well maintained, 24/7 security and more importantly, JP was absolutely fantastic! His recommendations were superb and his help and advice were integral to our trip. Can’t wait to be back! Have travelled through the region and this has got to be the best hotel I’ve stayed at.
