I got to experience staying in an authentic 150 years old hanok house, very quiet and peaceful! I stayed on a weekday so there weren’t many guests that day. A much needed healing time for myself. These days, many hanok houses have transformed into a modern style hanok but not here at Yangsajae. Yangsajae still maintain in its original form, although a modern bathroom is built behind along with it. Host is super friendly and accommodating to my request. Thank you!

Simple but comfortable. I like this traditional style of accommodation. You don't need anything when history is around you.

Good location in the historic Hanok Village of Jeonju and the experience of staying in a traditional house (rolled out futons, etc) with a modern bathroom. The owner was friendly and discretely offered things like an umbrella for rain or sun. The garden around the hanok was charming and had lots of little sculptures and incense burning in the evening. The hankok is walking distance to all the historic sites, the market and the river and an easy bus ride back to the express bus terminal.

It is well kept with the traditional hanok architecture. It provides a quiet relief from the hustle and bustle of the Hanok Village. Its location is also right behind the entrance to the hill to Omokdae which provides a great view to the city of Jeonju on the top of it.

The owner is cute and nice, he introduced some places for us to visit when we check in. The toilet is clean. the room is old korean style with air conditioning.

It’s beautiful and the owner speaks Korean and English. It is very traditional and this is not a negative but it is different and you need to be prepared for that. This is an experience and a great one at that. But it is an old house and you sleep on traditional things mats and traditional pillows, it can be hard to sleep on for many days if you’re not used to it. There are many mosquitoes in summer so keep the door closed, there is an ac. He also gives you bug spray and water. It’s a wonderful experience and worth it, but best to know what you’re signing up for.

The location is excellent, in the middle of Jeonju's Hanok village. The place is beautiful and offers an authentic stay, with a futon-style type of bed. The place is very calm and clean. The host is nice and helpful.

It’s gorgeous! The old hanok home style room was very comfortable. A bit small for two big suitcases we were carrying but we managed. The host is super friendly and very helpful. We had a short and sweet stay. Location is also great
