“Great experience”

YK was a great host, very thoughtful and responsive. The futons were very comfortable, and we all slept very well.

“If you want to be surrounded by traditional architecture, this is a great place to stay!”

Beautiful traditional Korean house, very quiet and peaceful. Right near the entrance to Jeonju Hanok village so there were many shops and attractions within walkable distance.

“Comfortable, near to the center of the village, easy to locate.”

I like everything! A very seemless and quick self check in. The host also contacted me a few hours before check in time to brief on how to check in etc. It makes me less worry. Checkout also easy. Host can speak english and js very polite. The room we booked is clean, toilet has auto bidet and auto flush. Bathing gel and shampoo provided and smells good, the shampoo makes my hair very soft. Small towels provided but if you need more can get it from the laundry room. Kettle provided if you need ramyeon middle of the night haha. Overall, its a very comfortable stay and i'll for sure rebook in future for a few days more!

“Authentic hanok experience with charming touches, but a few practical drawbacks”

I stayed at GaEunChae for one night, and the experience felt magical. Sleeping on a futon in a traditional hanok in the heart of a historic village was authentic and memorable. The host provided clear directions for arrival, and the underfloor heating kept the room cozy. Basic amenities, like towels (more available in the common room), shampoo, and shower gel, were provided, and there was hot water in the shower. The self-check-in process was smooth and flexible, with access details sent via WhatsApp, and my name was written on a whiteboard outside my assigned hanok - a thoughtful touch. While no breakfast is included, there are plenty of nearby options with beautiful views, and a convenience store is just at the end of the alley. I also appreciated the flexibility to store my luggage in the common room after check-out.

The place itself is comfortable and cozy especially if you are looking for some meditative place to stay. I was alone and had my single room which is spacious enough for one and have everything you need during your travel. The host is very nice and provides you a lot of information about some places around (cafes, restaurants etc.). The huge bonus for me was the fact you don't have a shared hall or something - you just entering the yard and can enjoy your time sitting there with a cup of tea. The location is quiet itself. Of course, it's a traditional building so you can hear your neighbours from time to time but it's an average situation and it doesn't kill your rest at all. If you visit Jeonju-si for the traditional architecture and that "slow life" spirit - it's a perfect place to stay.

“Amazing!”

The room was a bit packed for large luggage. The location was great as it is near to Hanok village.

“Beautiful and quiet hanok room. Great place to experience a traditional korean house”

The staff was very helpful. They contacted me via different apps and by booking as well providing information to arrive to the property and for the checking. They also helped me with restaurant recommendations. I could leave my suitcases there the day I checked out while visiting the city. Also, the location was great. It was a great experience for my first time staying in a hanok, a traditional korean house, and sleeping in a traditional futon.
